Originally from Mississauga, I grew up listening to all sorts of music, of course I went through the various phases—when I was 10, I loved the Monkeys. Then when I hit 12, it was all about Guns N’Roses and stayed that way for awhile. By the time I was 15, I switched to hip hop (2Pac and Bone Thugs), and then when I was in my late teens-early twenties, I was back to my old self and listening to all sorts of music. My favourite bands and artists right now are, of course Sam Roberts Band, also Weezer, Metric, Sloan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blue Rodeo, Lady Ga Ga (yes I know, but she’s amazing live!), Alicia Keys, Michael Buble (sickening yes, but he’s great) and the list goes on.

I don’t have an iPod, I only own a CD player and stereo. This is true. Perhaps one day, when iPods are obsolete I will get one.

And since I’m a journalist, maybe it’s time I talk about that. Well, after spending several years in college and university, I decided to head back to college to try radio broadcasting—the career I first wanted to pursue back in high school. I love doing the news, it really is one of my passions. Plus, I get to work with some great people.
