Jenn and I phoned up Chris St. Clair from the Weather Network to get, among other things, details on how the last long weekend of the summer was going to shape up.

The Frigate arrived in Kingston this morning.

FREE open tours on the Canadian Warship are open to the public

from 1-5 pm today! (make sure you bring photo ID or they won’t let you on)

Jim and I spoke with Leading Seaman Gord Retwidge who gave us all the details.

The crew and ship are only here until tomorrow, so make sure you don’t miss your chance to see it!

Our buddy Wayne from the North End called this morning with some astonishing news!

Jenn and I got to share a rare treat with our Drive listeners on Tuesday morning. Our Essential Adventure Party house band Telefoto dragged all their gear into our little studio and played their brand new release live!

The Drive is presenting the band’s CD release party on October 1st. Call us Wednesday morning @ 8:20 and we might be able to get you in free!

Many thanks to a happy Drive listener named Elizabeth, who just got back from seeing this great show after winning tickets on The Drive.

“City and Colour was amazing and Dallas Green is so humble and was just sweetly honored that the crowd would come to see him. In his own words “I wasn’t planning on saying anything tonight and just play but Holy Shit.” lol There were goosebumps moments and I have the links from the show to just a couple of songs that blew us away like Save Your Scissors and The Girl. And to end the show, with great awe to the crowd, Gord Downie came from back stage to join in “Sleeping Sickness.”

Thank you, thank you, thank you for an amazing night and if there is a chance to request anything by City and Colour to be played, it would be greatly appreciated.
