For years I’ve bragged about the star of “Happy Endings”, Elisha Cuthbert, as my “neighbour” from my hometown of Greenfield Park, QC.  Of course, this could never be proved by the women engaged to Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf.  Until now…

Thanks to the power of Twitter, a little luck, and maybe the hometown advantage, she called in Thursday morning and chatted with us for a full hour.  She was absolutely awesome.  Fun.  Candid.  And, just like the girl next door (no, not the one from her movie).

The 42nd Annual Juno Awards took place Sunday night on CTV. Michael Buble hosted the event that saw performances from Billy Talent, The Sheepdogs, Serena Ryder, Metric and more.

Serena Ryder won adult alternative album of the year — her fourth career Juno, and Breakthrough Group of the Year went to Monster Truck.

On Monday we spoke with eOne Public Relations, CTV Music Correspondent, Eric Alper (@thatericalper) and got his first-hand experience at the Junos in Regina.

We talked most memorable moments, performances, artists behind the scenes, and bands to keep and eye out for in the coming years…

The World Fishing Network is once again running its ‘Ultimate Fishing Town’ cross-Canada contest, and this year, Kingston is in the running!
