Fudgicle or Fudgsicle?
Ok, sometimes it’s a slow news day. Today we debated how to pronounce the above mentioned delicious treat. I’ve always called it fudgicle NOT fudgsicle (like it is spelt). Anyway, we opened it up for debate and here’s what you had to say.
BTW, I am from Montreal…which explains a lot.

Reid!!!! I’ve had this same argument with my boyfriend before. He tells me I’m wrong becase I say it your way (without the ‘s’) and he said I was the only one. Well, today you proved both of us wrong! Sure I say it wrong, but no Iproved that I’m not the only one.

Saying fudgicle makes a person sound like they’re slow.
Like they can’t read.
It’s FUDGSICLE, NOT FUDGICLE.
Honestly, that sounds so stupid.
Hope you enjoy your next nascar event, hillbillies.

It’s a little late, but tonight the fudgicle v fudgsicle debate came up again – after I’d thought it’d been solved by Popsicle Pete, with fudgicle being correct. However, the new package says fudgsicle.
It first hit me that fudgsicle was wrong when listening to an old Buck Rogers episode, and Popsicle Pete clearly said, ‘fudgicle’ numerous times.
After checking, it seems the original name was fudgicle. It was later changed to the much more logical and easy to say and hear fudgsicle.
Those yearning for the good old days, I guess, can cling to the old pronunciation, and, in their own way, be correct.
