U2 to Headline Glasto, Strokes Heading Back to the Studio, and Bridge School Comp. Volume 4 Out Today…
The scoop on The Strokes’ recording plans, and a cool compilation out today on iTunes after the jump, but first.
It’s official: U2 are set to headline Glastonbury in 2010.
The band will top the bill on the Friday night (June 25) of the three-day event for the first time in their 32-year career.
Festival organiser Michael Eavis told the event’s official website, Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk: “We’ve been trying for years… And now we’ve finally made it happen. I’m sure they will pull out all the stops to make next year’s Glastonbury the most memorable ever.”
The band have been rumoured to appear at the festival a number of times over the years but they have always failed to appear on the bill until now.
