Muse To Release Tour Doc, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Releasing New Single and Finger Eleven Recording…

The scoop on Finger Eleven’s studio trek and a new Yeah Yeah Yeah’s single after the jump, but first…

Muse have announced plans to make a Nirvana inspired tour documentary.

The band, who have released various live DVDs throughout their career – including 2005′s Absolution Tour and 2008′s H.A.A.R.P – have revealed they would like to make something a bit different, reports BBC 6 Music.

“We’d like to something a little bit more along the lines of a touring documentary as opposed to just a live gig this time,” bassist Chris Wolstenholme told Australia’s Triple J radio station.

“Something a little bit more like Nirvana’s Live! Tonight! Sold Out! I think that was one of the best tour documentaries I’ve ever watched; just life on the road and what it’s like, with obviously a bit of music here and there, and other loads of other random stuff as well.” He added.

Currently in Australia to play the Big Day Out festival, Muse will head out on a tour of North America at the end of February.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced the release of a digital package for their song ‘Skeletons’.

The song, which featured on the band’s 2009 album ‘It’s Blitz!’, will be released as a digital bundle from February 1 and will include the original song, an acoustic version plus the video.

Finger Eleven are in the studio working on the follow-up to 2007′s Them Vs. You Vs. Me.

The Burlington band began recording the as-yet-untitled new album earlier this month in New York City. They spent last week concentrating on Rich Beddoe’s drums and Scott Anderson’s vocals, while the week before they were working on Sean Anderson’s bass parts for the disc.
