Foo Fighters are set to begin recording their next studio album in September, frontman Dave Grohl has revealed.
Grohl, who is also set to release new Them Crooked Vultures material this year with Josh Homme and John Paul Jones, said that the band he heads up had just started the writing process for what will be their seventh studio album.

Arcade Fire will headline this year’s Oxegen Festival.
The band have joined the bill for the event, which takes place outside Dublin in Ireland between July 8 and 11.
The group are rumoured to be playing other European festival dates this summer, although more appearences are yet to be confirmed.

Muse has apparently been dis-invited from contributing to the soundtrack of the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, which arrives this June. The British trio has been closely associated with the blockbuster teen vampire saga: they have been named as a favorite band of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer and have had songs on the soundtracks of both the first Twilight film and last fall’s New Moon.
But when asked by Dose.ca about writing a new song for Eclipse, drummer Dominic Howard said it wasn’t happening. He explained, “It’s nothing to do with Stephenie, she’s totally cool. It’s the people in the movie business, completely outside of the writers and the creative types, the non-creative types I suppose are the people who are quite hard to deal with in Hollywood, so it didn’t work out.”
Muse is also friends with Eclipse director David Slade, who directed several of the trio’s early videos.
