The scoop on Green Day’s latest award and the Noel Gallagher attacked in Canada case after the jump, but first!
Weakerthans frontman John K. Samson will embark on a three-date mini tour this December in support of his three-song solo recording, City Route 85.

Check this out…a “Fan” attacking Noel Gallagher last night at V Fest in Toronto.Oasis was about 1:30 into “Morning Glory” when a guy came from the side stage and rushed Gallagher from behind.I guess Gallagher fell about 6 feet into the front row. Security Guards were on this “fan” instantly, took him off stage and the rest of Oasis went off stage, to check on this idiot (or maybe kick the s*** out of him), but the band came back after a little break, and played 6 more songs.
The guy who did this has been charged with assault is unnamed and I am torn whether they should release his name.I hope they do so people who know him can kick him, I hope they don’t so he doesn’t get his 15 minutes of fame.
Check out the video, it happens around 1:30 and the guy who posted it also posted a note to Noel: “I am sorry for this act of violence inflicted on you in my home country (or anywhere at all).I hope the rest of your stay in Toronto is more uneventful.’
