Essential Alternative+Footie=Good Times

While watching the on-going European Soccer championships, I’ve noticed a familiar sound eminating from the crowd. It took me a while to figure it out…but after some extensive research, I have found that it’s perhaps the most recognizeable bass line of the last 5 years.
Soccer, or “footie” fans as I like to call them, have started singing the bass line to the White Stripes “Seven Nation Army,” at the beginning, and pretty much throughout most of the games.
Apparently the practice started in Italy, and has actually reached Ontario, as you can hear it being belted out at Toronto FC games.
