David Byrne has issued a stark response to rumours about reforming Talking Heads.
The band, who split in 1991, have only played together once since then – taking to the stage in 2002 to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Speaking to Metro, Byrne said he has little desire to reunite the band properly.
“I’m not keen and it’s unlikely to happen,” he said. “I don’t need the money badly enough.”

Green Day have announced the release date of their highly anticipated forthcoming studio album.
’21st Century Breakdown’ is due to be released worldwide on May 15.
As previously reported, the band’s first studio album since 2004′s ‘American Idiot’ is divided into three acts: ‘Heroes and Cons’; ‘Charlatans and Saints’; and ‘Horseshoes and Handgrenades’, and “follows a young couple, Christian and Gloria, through the mess and promise of the century so far”.
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong also declared that the album was fuelled by his distrust of politicians.
The album’s first single will be ‘Know Your Enemy’, which is set to be released in April.

Filter realized before going to visit troops in the Middle East it wouldn’t be all fun and games, but not like this.
The band scheduled five shows for U-S soldiers in Iraq and Kuwait, but two were cancelled because of a sandstorm.
They were signing autographs at Camp Kirkuk in Iraq when the base came under mortar fire.
No one was hurt and the band even posted footage of their experience on YouTube.
Filter’s former bass player, Frank Cavanaugh, is currently an Army sergeant deployed in the Middle East.
