Tokyo Police Club Interview

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 by Reid

Today (Tuesday June 8th) I chatted with Dave Monks the lead singer of Tokyo Police Club .  This foursome from Newmarket has been making quite a splash on the music scene in the past four years.  Consider this:  In 2006 they appeared at Edgefest and the inaugural Osheaga Festival. In 2007, they performed at the Coachella music festival in Indio, California, at Lollapalooza in Chicago, at Bumbershoot in Seattle, at Glastonbury Festival and Reading and Leeds Festival in England, in 2008 at Roskilde Festival in Denmark and at Rock am Ring-Festival in Germany, and Street Scene in San Diego. This weekend they’re playing Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN. Not bad. They’ve also appeared on “Desperate Housewives”!!! Anyway, today they release the follow-up to “Elephant Shell”. It is their second full length CD and it is called “Champ”. Here’s the interview.
